An educational outreach event showcasing stem cells and regenerative medicine which took place on March 14, 2014 at ABF Huset in Stockholm, Sweden.
The day-long event was organized by health care professionals and researchers from the Karolinska University Hospital, the Karolinska Innovation Centre and the Linnaeus Center in Developmental Biology for Regenerative Medicine (DBRM), in collaboration with Unhinged Science. The theme was cell therapy: "Cells - building blocks of life and the future of medicine" and the event was also part of an annual European-wide initiative UniStem.
Interactive stations explained current and experimental types of cell therapy, as well as basic research in developmental and regenerative medicine and gave insights into the flourishing collaborations that are taking place at Karolinska Hospital and the Karolinska Institute to improve health care with cell therapy. The event was attended by school classes and the public of Stockholm.
